I was watching something the other night that made me want to redo the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So Im working on doing that! giving them alittle more flair and individuality in their costumes.

Aerial Predator

The next variation of the Predator is the Aerial Predator. Ive been sketching up some concepts on how his anatomy would have evolved for flight.

Honorbound Predator

So for some time now Ive been working on this project with fellow RIT alums and such called Honorbound. Its a type of D&D meets Magic:The Gathering type card game. The setting is the extreme future. Couple thousand years easy. Mankind has traveled the stars, colonized worlds, created utopias, engineered untold horrors, some have even conquered death. All of this amazing progress is over and mankind is emerging from a new dark age. Humanity is rebuilding society using the technology left behind by their forefathers. It is basically magic to it's new users.

Im taking this more as a chance to make some new digital creatures and such. Basically to keep my drawing skills up...while having fun. The creator of Honorbound, this guy named Avi, charged me with designing the Predator cards. There are 3 cards to this series. The first being the Predator pack. This is a genetically created ultimate predator creature. It needed to have all the bits and pieces of master predators. SO...i went with some venomous fangs, snake heat pits, cat/hawk like eyes, some porcupine quills(for armor...i thought its cooler than reptile type armor), cat like body/tail for movement, and little glider type skin flaps for silent landings from jumps. Introducing the Predator! YOU CANT BEAT THIS VERSION ARNOLD!

Working Away

So its 1:30 AM...Sunday August 15th...I started this project way to long ago...but the details in it will be amazing. This is the first sculpture I am doing where I am actually using reference for all the folds and clothes. I used my brother Nick as the model with some old clothes from my dad on him. Nick isnt at all jacked like Lazarus here...but the folds are all i care about right now. Ive seriously been working on just one pant leg for nearly 3 days...my family is making jokes about me not leaving my desk...ever...as my roommates can attest...no...i dont leave my work area when there is a project in front of me. Still isnt the same as working in my house in Rochester...this set-up here isnt want I want or need to get my work done...but hey...I gotta do with what Ive got. I think Im going to use this blog more...its kinda nice to see how far Ive gotten in a few days...and to ramble on about stuff!...oh...and if you were wondering...yes...that is my Target work shirt Im wearing...FML

Ok...going to bed now...ERIE COUNTY FAIR tomorrow morning! gnight!

Falconer Progress

So in typical me fashion...im updating this thing wicked late...so heres the progress on the falconer, done it 2 part process. First...human anatomy...check!!! Still more to work on before I jump into clothing...but Im almost there!

Bear Jockies

So our Digital Mixed Media project is to make a landscape and add a figure. I saw this really cool root structure growing between a crack in the ground at Corbett's Glen Park. I decided to make it a bridge and have some bear jockies racing! WIP

So Im working on my epically huge sculpture. Hopefully it turns out well in the end! He is about 20" x 18" x 10" and armature is made out of steel!
